It’s that AWESOME time of year! It’s basically Halloween! When you get to dress up as your favorite anything and watch horror movies while eating candy. Plus, it’s the only day of the year where you’re encouraged to take candy from strangers! Also, during all of October, you can get pumpkin flavored anything. Pumpkin Cheerios, pumpkin Cliff Bars, pumpkin pie M&M’s, pumpkin ice cream(!). Yes! There’s also candy that will be given out during lunch by the SNBC Beacon program. During the end of the month SNBC will be giving out candy or other delicious treats like pretzels, candy, popsicles and more! Also, on apps like Pinterest or Youtube you can find awesome Halloween DIYs and recipes, like pizza skulls and ghost sugar cookies, or even SCARY healthy snacks. If you don’t want to have to make food you can also buy some Halloween foods from Safeway(or basically anywhere). Let’s get excited for Halloween! Welcome to the online paperBy Kayla Yee
Welcome back to school! This year, the journalism club has something new to offer: the online newspaper! We are excited to share a newspaper that you can access from almost anywhere-at home, the library, and more! The newspaper is in a blog format, and there are different sections of the online newspaper. Some different sections include comics, features, and opinions. For example, if you just want to read comics, then you can go the comics section. We are pleased to present the online newspaper. We hope you enjoy! By Maureen Loftus Gladys, one of our cherished chickens, was grimly ripped from our school last summer. All students who visited the garden remember her friendly clucking and warm attitude. She was a sufferer of Marek’s disease, a paralysis condition with no known treatment. Her forlorn demise last August was a loss for the whole school. She is survived by her close chicken friends Josephine and Gertrude, and her acquaintances Poppy, Sage, and Iris. “Gladys was a sweet chicken who brought a lot of joy to our community and she will be greatly missed.” -Ms. Kasey |
