by Leela Sriram No child under the age of 13 should have a Facebook account because of all the propaganda on Facebook including a scandal that had to do with Cambridge Analytica. Cambridge Analytica is an I.T. service located in Cambridge, England . They mainly collect data and work on topics ranging from food to political opinions. In this case, they collected personal data like your messages. Mark Zuckerberg is currently testifying with Congress now for this scandal now. Facebook is world renowned for all of the quizzes that circulate on it’s website. Little did people know that those quizzes don’t just collect the data of your favorite ice cream flavors. They also collect the data in your profile: messages, likes, comments and even the data of the people who follow you. Mark Zuckerberg also known by Twitter users as Lizard man because of the facial expressions he made during his testimony with Congress, is making Facebook users pay money to not use this data. He recently went to court with Congress for this, which is known as a huge invasion of privacy. This makes sense because people DESERVE their privacy and when you take this data and use it for who knows what, people will feel unsafe and not want to use Facebook either because they lost their trust. We can’t technically use Facebook because we aren’t 13! Comments are closed.
